These sweet mitts use bobbles, stripes and delicate braids to make bright pops of colour from hand-dyed yarn from small, independent dyer, Colliston Yarns (or Yarntings for the new, limited edition colourway, Afterparty + Deep Aqua). They're carefully tailored, with a thumb gusset and ribs at the wrist, finger end and thumb for a neat fit. I knit them in lots of different combinations of bright, speckled hand-dye contrasted against more restrained, deeply coloured hand-dyed yarn.
They're named for the the little bobbles that remind me of barnacles growing on sea rocks.
