This new version of my Barnacle Mitts has the same bobbles, stripes and delicate braids but this time using a more subtle yarn for colour contrast. In these mitts I've used a deep, inky teal for the main colour and a shot silk-effect turquoise/blue/violet for the contrast, together giving a velvety, deep ocean feeling. They're carefully tailored, with a thumb gusset and ribs at the wrist, finger end and thumb for a neat fit.
They're named for the the little bobbles that remind me of barnacles growing on sea rocks.
