Badger Beastie

These Tiny Beasties make fun Christmas decorations, and I also keep one hanging in a glass lantern filled with fairy lights all year round.

I knit and stuff my tiny beasties in Jamieson's 100% Shetland wool- a heathered charcoal grey for the badgers' grizzled body fur and black for the head, embroidering the iconic badger head stripes in natural white. I then wet-felt down the little badgers to sweet miniatures.

I embroider their faces using cotton embroidery floss and little glass beads and sew on a cotton hanging loop. I knit and fringe the little scarves in Shetland wool.

Some of my badgers are gardening, holding daffodils (which I crochet and knit in Shetland wool) and tiny secateurs in 'tibetan silver' (metal alloy).

I occasionally give a tiny beastie binoculars to go out wildlife watching- these are made of 'tibetan silver' (metal alloy).

Some badgers are knitting Shetland wool, using tiny wooden needles.

The crocheting badgers are making granny squares from Shetland wool on bamboo crochet hooks.

The yarn stashing badgers are clutching a tiny skein of hand-dyed merino.

Badgers are about 6.5cm tall (+/- 0.5cm), excluding the hanging loop.

Every badger is slightly different, and I list them individually, so that you know exactly what you're getting!

The tiny beasties have small parts and are not suitable for small children.

Please store them carefully in a dry place.
