This is a kit for knitting my Tiny Barn Owl Decoration, finished height about 8cm. 
 
You knit the owl in lovely Shetland Spindift wool in the round, in stranded colourwork, as a simple tube and knit on little wings. There is some simple shaping in the small amount of sewing up. You wet felt the owl into a sweet miniature (instructions given) and mould it into to shape while drying. Eyes, beak and feet are embroidered on- I give instructions for a fool proof method for embroidering neat, round eyes.
 
This kit includes enough materials to make one tiny owl decoration:
❋ Printed pattern
❋ Jamieson’s 100% Shetland wool yarn (5.5g in   
   ‘Scotch Broom’ and 2.8g in ‘Natural White’)
❋ 70cm double stranded black embroidery cotton
❋ 25cm single stranded white embroidery cotton
❋ 4.2g carded lambswool stuffing
❋ 25cm bakers twine (for a hanging loop)
❋ French bulb stitch marker
❋ Bulldog clip (for shaping the tail while drying)
 
Just add:
❋ 3.25mm double pointed needles
❋ Wool needle/tapestry needle
 
The bulldog clip and stitch marker are reusable and the remaining materials and packaging are all based on natural materials and recyclable and/or biodegradable.  
 
Please note that this is a kit and not  finished owl. The glass display dome is not included.
