Whitebeam Mitts 🍂
My Whitebeam Mitt knitting pattern is in the upcoming issue 8 of The Journal Of Scottish Yarns . Their design reflects the Swedish Whitebeam trees that line the old marketplace in the village where I live. A line of Swedish Whitebeam berry bobbles and a lobed leaf travel down the back of the hand, enclosed by curving cables. Mole Hunt
My little knitted mole caught an earthworm! My moles began when I forgot to knit the top of a badger's head and it looked a little moley, followed by lots of swatching and tweaking to make it properly moley - long pink-tipped nose, little legs and tail, etc. I t took me a few attempts to work out how to sensibly make sweet mole paws suitable for digging - my final version is very jazz paws! I've finished a small herd of tiny mole decorations in anticipation of the Bowhouse Christmas Weekend...
