🌟Christmas Fairies 🌟
I'm exhibiting at a Winter Market at Bowhouse, Fife, next weekend (7th & 8th November 2026), with East Neuk Open Studios... so I've made a little batch of Christmas fairy Tiny Beastie decorations. I knit, stuff and wet felt them using Shetland wool. To fairy-fy them, I gave them tiny wands with mother of pearl stars, golden crowns and crocheted fairy wings & tutus. I'm much more of a knitter than a crocheter but I love the fact that, if you can imagine a small 3-dimensional shape, you can probably crochet it up, after a little trial and error. I crocheted the wings in fluffy alpaca / silk laceweight yarn. Uploading the little video of them, I realised that I'd forgotten to give the bears wands (back to the knit cave to remedy that) - not sure if it’s the missing wands or the indignity of a fairy suit that makes the bears look particularly cross.
